I just finished "The Gemini Ring" and it certainly whetted my appetite for the next one! It is a quick read, but a fun one too. While there are aspects of it that make me think of Stoker there is also so much that is unique and fun. It gave me the feeling and captured the mood of one of those late 60's early 70's European horror movies that I caught at the drive-in on Saturday nights in high school. A little more sex and a more sophisticated narrative, but the same good ol' creepy mystery I enjoyed so much then.
Last month I ordered both of your Octavia novels. Having read the Octavia Trilogy comic multiple times, I thought I knew what to expect from your short novels. How delightfully wrong I was. I read 'The Gemini Ring' and found the writing eerily poetic. I am putting off reading 'The Ice Caves' for a bit simply to savor the dreamy horripilation of the first book for a while longer. 'The Gemini Ring' was, in a word, haunting. Thank you for sharing the whisperings of your Muse. Though I still have one book yet to read, I look forward to to more stories from you in future.
